War and Peace

Overview

The reasons we are given for going to war are almost never the real reasons. Some make huge sums of money on warfare.  President Eisenhower coined the term “military industrial complex” referring to the combination of military , corporate, media and banking interests.  They make huge sums of money when there is military action - from bombs, planes, supplies, or rebuilding efforts.
Matthew 5;9 , Psalms 120:6,7 , Romans 12:18 , James 3:18, Hebrews 12:14, II Cor 10:3, John 18:36
Self defense is different - Luke 22:36, I Timothy 5:8
Solomon had peace on all sides - I Kings 4:24
Our enemy as followers of Christ is not flesh, but rulers of darkness and wickedness in high places - Ephesians 6:10
These are the same people pulling the strings of our leaders and controlling the information we are given.  See Daniel 10 when the Bible mentions the “princes” of the various kingdoms.
Some of the causes of warfare -
(1) The love of money: James 4:1
When was the last time the US actually declared war on another nation?  Yet we have been almost in constant warfare ever since.  If I think my neighbor wants to beat me up and I go beat him up first, is that the Bible way or the Roman way?  Rome had a term known as “casus belli”, which means an act that provokes or justifies a war.
Corporations and banks make loads of money promoting war.  They use this money to promote their agenda through the media conglomerates to spread their propaganda.  The large sums of money involved manage to coerce more and more of our leaders to adopt the same positions as these groups and it becomes hard to resist.  The US congress doesn’t even declare war any longer, it just seems to go around enforcing the resolutions of the united nations, which is nothing more than the beginnings of a one world government. Hebrews 12:14 and Romans 12:18 tells us to live in peace with all men if possible. Secretary of state and later 6th US President, John Quincy Adams is quoted as saying regarding the US foreign policy as “shes goes not abroad in search of dragons”.  George Washington said we should avoid entangling alliances.  WWI was supposed to be the war to end all wars.  Lies!
(2) The devil wants to kill everyone.  John 8:44, Psalm 11:5, John 10:7, Daniel 10:12-21:  The princes of the kingdoms mentioned are not humans, but demons.  Our rulers aren't really in control John 14:30.
Alexander the Great, one of the rulers of Greece, spoke about his “Daemon”, which in Greek mythology was supposedly a kind of guardian spirit for mortals. Behind every idol is a devil.  Something wicked comes in Revelation ch 6 that goes out to take peace from the earth.
Cause (3) A curse from God.  A nation at peace is a blessing from the Lord.
